Parenting support
Through our parenting programmes and workshops we help parents develop knowledge skills and strategies to manage the challenges of raising their children. These programmes may cover topics such as child development, developing, sleep patterns, safe sleeping, S.I.D.S awareness, potty training, and emotional support to the parent.
Develop communication through play
Our experienced nursery practitioners will support the parent in learning how to communicate with their children through play and providing nurturing and stimulating environments for young children to develop, build confidence before going to nursery.
Play therapy and emotional support
We provide play therapy and counselling support to both parent and their child.
Community involvement
By developing connexions within local community, we can support and encourage parents to attend community events, play groups and to develop their own confidence in their own abilities and parenting skills.
Advocacy and outreach
We provide advocacy and outreach to support families to engage in a local community raise awareness about issues affecting families or they may need further insistence in accessing community resources or just even day-to-day budgeting skills and navigating housing and the benefit system.
Specialised support- domestic abuse
We also have skilled workers that can provide support to families that have been experiencing domestic violence, substance abuse, or homelessness. Our team can provide additional emotional support and help the parents by empowering them to help themselves and access resources available to them.
Supporting families in their transition to a fostering placement or back into the community.
We work together with all professionals and can assist and support families moving on post-assessment to parent and child Fostering. We can provide continuity to the families moving on, and if they require further support if placed back home in the community as a family unit.
